The current iPhone models would not work on Verizon. Verizon runs on CDMA technology while the iPhone is equipped with GSM technology. The only other American Mobile company that the iPhone works with is T-Mobile.
Also, Verizon only just started using SIM cards with the Blackberry Storm, and do not sell SIM Cards to be used in various phones. And you need a SIM card to get service with an iPhone.
