Pear trees can be transplanted successfully if the proper steps are taken to minimize stress on the tree. --The best season to transplant woody plants is late winter/early spring, after the ground has thawed but before the new buds begin to grow. Late fall, after the leaves have dropped but before the ground freezes, is also acceptable.
--Make sure that conditions (soil pH, drainage, sunlight, etc. ) are appropriate for optimum growth of the species of tree being transplanted. Pear trees generally prefer slightly acidic soil with good drainage, but different varieties do best in different conditions. --When digging out the roots, it's usually best to leave the soil around the roots.
The soil/root ball for most transplanted trees should be at least 1 foot in diameter for each inch of trunk diameter. Larger trees should have a trench dug around them to get below the major roots before undercutting the tree. Note that in some localities you may be responsible for finding out if there are any underground utilities which may be damaged by removing the tree.
--Replanting should be done as soon as possible so that the roots don't dry out. The planting hole should be several times the diameter of the root ball, and damaged roots should be cut cleanly before replanting. Orient the tree so that it is facing the same direction as before to reduce the risk of sun damage.
--After transplanting, keep the tree watered, but not overwatered. In dry conditions, a deep soaking every 10-14 days may be needed. If the soil around the tree is dry to a depth of more than 3-4 inches, more water is needed.
Mulch may be used to help retain soil moisture if drainage is good. To avoid root damage, do not add fertilizer to the fill soil. --Trees more than 3 inches in diameter may need special equipment for transport.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
