As you have not mentioned which cable, I am assuming you are referring to the iGo USB Cable. According to iGo USB cable product page, the cable is used for charging only. It will not transfer data.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
