Does anyone know if Ustream can work with a flip video and if so, any tips?

From what I can read you cannot use a Flip for any webcam type application. It doesn't appear that you can send live video from the flip over the USB connector. Only recorded video.So I believe the answer is no.

I checked the flip website theflip.com/en-us . I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
