If you are moving to a new job, the employer will often pay the moving expenses. I haven't done this in many years so these ideas may or may not work today. Most movers charge both by weight and by volume.
Large, bulky, light weight items, like clothes, bedding, draperies, etc. Can often be mailed for less than the moving company will charge. If you have a friend that works for an airline, or shipping company, they frequently get large discounts on FedEx and UPS. My brother can ship anything that FedEx or UPS will deliver anywhere in the country for $5.00.
Some furniture, especially tube type TV's will cost more to move than to replace when you get there. Think about the box, AND outside the box. One more thing.
Go through everything you own - in detail - throw out anything you can live without before the move.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
