Does anyone know where to find good writing prompts?

Here's one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random It really depends on what you're writing. Any prompt can work for any genre or format, but, say, a creepy old daguerreotype would be great for mystery and horror, a thought experiment about methane-based life more suited towards science fiction, and "try to describe that feeling of embarrassment when you've wandered the wrong way down the road, but don't know whether to stop and turn around or just nonchalantly walk around the block" would be good for a humorous essay or poem.

More.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
