You have some good choices You can always buy a refurbished set from some more expensive systems for less, but if you are interested in new systems only, the Panasonic SC-PT750 offers a lot of features and good performance for only $350. The bonus feature: wireless speakers. No need to hook up the messy wires anymore.

For a little more, I will recommend the Onkyo HT-SR800S. For less, try the Philips HTS6500, but you only get unrealistic "virtual" surround. There are a lot of value systems everywhere, but you have to do some research online to find out if they offer enough performance and features you will need.

Personally, since a system will last a long time, better to spend a bit more for a better system. Check out cnet. Com for review of models from mainstream brands.

I would recommend Onkyo. In any industry - and electronics especially - there are a few kinds of companies. There are those that mass-produce junk and sell it cheap to make a quick buck; those that establish themselves as big names that put out respectable products (Sony, Panasonic) and charge a premium for their name; and then there are the companies that actually put out good products at good prices.

Strangly enough, the companies in that last catagory are usually the ones that most people haven't really heard of. You can find Onkyo brand product easily at most big stores. I don't know exactly what products and price range you're looking at, but I'd suggest looking around onkyousa.com or somewhere that sells their stuff, finding what matches your needs, then either look for reviews or just buying it outright.

Their products are usually comparable to the big name brands that are a couple of price brackets above whatever you'll pay for the Onkyo. No, I'm not affiliated with them or anything. My brother got a surround sound system about a year back so we did a bunch of research then and I was impressed.

Easy to install, too. Seven speakers and a sub, each with uniquely color-coded wires and plugs so you know what goes where even when everything jumbles together. Lots of clever little touches like that.

Nope I don't but if you're in the market, this is the place to look. They have a wide variety, good prices and service and excellent sales staff. Sources: crutchfield.com/S-bUsOb7KhDE5/ .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
