Does anyone own the Flip digital video camera? (see details)?

(see details) I have been seeing a lot about the Flip and have decided that I would really like one. Has anyone purchased this? How does it perform?

Is the video clear? How about the sound quality? I don't want a traditional camcorder but thought this might be neat to share videos with family that is far away.

I have the 512MB model It shoots 30 minutes of video. The quality is higher than VHS-C, but not as good as mini-DV and other digital camcorders. The newer Ultra series models claim better resolution, but I think what I have is fine.It is very easy to use, and very portable.

I like it because I can drop it in a pocket and take it anywhere. The battery life (it takes 2 AAs) is much better than I expected. theflip.com/products_flip_video_specs.II... The camera has a fixed-focus lens and a default exposure setting.

It will take video outdoors and inside in good lighting, although it gets grainy at the extremes of what it can pick up. The sound quality is quite good, and the microphone is sensitive enough to pick up normal conversation in a typical living room.It is, however, monaural. The unit comes with a cable that can play back from the camera onto any TV with a video in jack.

It does not have an RF modulator.To download to your computer, the "Flip" USB dongle plugs into any USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 port. You can use the camera's incuded software to view and transfer the videos, or you can drag and drop them into the computer and view them with Quicktime and other media players. It lacks a slot for an external memory card, so once the camera is full, you have to offload it or discard what you have in order to shoot more.

This is the only feature I wish they'd thought about more. This is not the only camcorder I own, but it's probably the one I use most. It's so small and easy that I can just grab and go with it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
