Does anyone remember a forerunner of lego - a building brick set consisting of metal rods and bricks?

I remember that! The blocks of bricks windows and doors slid down th metal rods that poked upwards from the base. They did some entire roofs but mainly it was gable ends and roof tiles that clicked together.

There were metal plates of all sizes that made floors or went onto the tops of walls to align the rods to fit the roof. It was called Bako (Can't be sure of the spelling) pronounced bay-co. We had loads of it though I don't know what happened to it.

More.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
