I do and I just received one today. About two yesterday, I'd have to check.

Up in the right hand corner of the top of the page a number shows up, I click on it and I have pm's and I comments. I click on comments and they are almost always compliments or nice comments so I respond with a thank you and I accept. Sometimes I don't like the tone and would rather not have that person's words show up on personal page so I reject them but that's really rare.

You can read mine by clicking on my avatar and then my handle and you'll see all my info, and the people I follow and how long I've been here and you can read all the comments/compliments I've received over the years if you wish. I just read the one squeaky said to you. He likes your avatar.

Well send some out to members that answer a question well or agree with you on a subject,or even if you don't agree they have just answered a question well.

I do - I sent 3-4 this week alone. But I do it privately. I even sent one to someone who I disagree with, most of the time, but who made a good argument.

Sometimes - a lot depends on the quality of the debate. Calling people names isn't a positive dialogue. Smart arguments make for a good exchange.

I may even send out a few more than I used to as there aren't any "running dialogues" the way there used to be on AV, so it's the best way to say something nice to another AVer when they have made a good point.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
