In India, they prepare an astrological chart based on the place, time, and date of birth I believe there is merit in astrological charts (called "Kundali") in India. This is an astrological chart based on the time, place, date, day, and date of dirth. In fact the first letter of your name is also determined by this.

Often before marriage, parents of bride and groom may have the priest check both charts to determine if this will be a good match. Many astrologers in the indian sub-continent have computer programs to determine the planetary position at the time of your birth. This is an ancient science and very mathermatical.

I believe it is reasonaly accurate and has merit. I do not believe in the astrological sign and characteristics assigned based on the western model. Just my personal opinion and I have nothing beyond that to back up my answer.

I really do believe in it. There are certain aspects of each sign that pertains to the person that is born under that sign. I've met Virgos who are really neat, Libras who are up on the latest fashion, scorpios are intense, sagittarius are into sports, Cancers are family oriented, and capricorns are ambitious.To name a few, but I do believe in it somewhat.

I don't believe in it completely but I do believe that some signs have certain qualities in common.

You'll never convince a scientist or skeptic that any tiny bit of it is true. It really is a fascinating way to approach and discover things about ourselves and others whether you believe in it as a hobby or as a serious philosophy. Just as the phase of the moon affects the tides, I believe that astrology can be useful in planting and in harvesting timber as plant, animal, and humans are liquid beings like the sea. The fluids in our brains and bodies are definitely influenced by the large nearby heavenly bodies, the moon in particular. Since there are no devices for measuring the effects of astrological influences and because human behavior has so many variables, you end up with a highly subjective interpretation that tends to generalize about natal charts and life readings, some of which will probably pan out over time.

I see no harm in astrology as a positive way to observe and enjoy, the various personal characteristics of close friends and relatives. In a word, no. I’ve never put much stock in astrology. Is a Taurus stubborn, of course-everyone can be stubborn at times.

Sorry, no. It is true that astrology has been around for many years. It is also true that you will occasionally find situations where it seems to work.

Many careful studies have shown that when it does seem to work, it is simple coincidence. Astrology may be a fun diversion, but it just does not "work". This has been shown over and over again.So, have fun reading your horoscope!

But don't be fooled into thinking it's anything more than entertainment.
