Does mental illness served a purpose? Is there some survival value to depression and "break down?

1 I think the only value is to the drug companies. They are cleaning up, while we are breaking down.

Part of the reason for that (I think) is that the mental illness also gives an energy and quickness that works very well in battle. Nebuchadnezzar is the best example of this. He became ruler of the then-known world because he never lost a battle (except with himself.) "All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
