Does the DS have any parental controls to limit (or monitor) the amount of time kids play each day?

No there is no way to do it. Not even if you "flash ROM" it, as there is not a firmware that will do such a thing. What my mom did with me back in the '90s when SNES was the hottest thing was that she would set up an egg timer.

When time was up, I had to stop playing Super Mario World, or whatever game I was playing at the time. Then I had to either go read a book or play outside depending on the time of the day.

No. Sorry it doesn't. I'm sure if you "flash ROM" it, you can put that functionality.

In general, no. The Wii does however, its just not portable.

No, there is no parental protection on the device. But it is small and portable. The easiest way to control the time it is used is to have it returned to you or other responsible person when it's not to be used...Parental controls in consoles also usually extends to the type of game-content that is allowed (eg: should M-rated games be allowed?

) But games are well-labeled for that, so that's not so tricky. The bigger games consoles, that aren't so movable have controls like this built into them, since they aren't so easy to physically remove from wherever the gaming is done. Hope that helps.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
