Does the iPhone 3G or 3GS support 4G signals? Can I use the 3G or 3GS as a 4G phone?

Hate to have to tell you this, but in order to use 4G technology you will need to have an iPhone that can use that technology. Each cellular phone is designed to pick up certain signals from the air, or frequencies. The 3G technology is the fastest reliable connection option at this time, with 4G only being given out in certain regions of the country.

You will have to purchase a 4G phone to use 4G service quality. Unless you really need improved calling over the 3G, you might not want to even bother with upgrading your cell phone. Most people will not notice any marked difference.

If your contract is up and you have an upgrade option available to you then it is not a terrible idea, after all, 4G is coming, and if you are a huge internet surfer or Facebook fanatic on your mobile phone then you will like the additional connectivity that 4G is going to provide in the future. But for now, check with your cellular company and see if your local calling area even provides 4G coverage yet. You may find out that getting the 4G phone will do you no good because you don't have 4G connection available in your home area.

Unfortunately, you will need to get a new phone. Currently, none Apple’s iPhones can use 4G. This includes the iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4G iPhone.

Apple actually has not rolled out the 4G network yet. Even when it is rolled out, the iPhone will not be compatible. Sprint was the first phone company in the United States to launch the HTC Evo phone and the 4G network.

Since then, Sprint has also launched a second 4G phone, the Samsung Epic. I am partial to the Epic, because I was an original Blackberry user and need a keyboard. I did use the HTC Evo and it was a fantastic phone.

However, I am extremely ecstatic to have my keyboard back. Their prices are pretty reasonable now, as well.

IPhone 3G and 3GS do not support 4G signals. In fact, even iPhone 4G is a 3G phone only and does not support 4G technology. When mobile carrier companies start offering 4G services, you can still use your phone but you will not be able to enjoy the benefits of 4G network.In order to reap the proper benefits of 4G, you will need to buy a new mobile phone, which is 4G ready.

Currently, there are only a very few handsets with 4G capabilities. Year 2011 is likely to see major development in 4G enabled handset segment. There are some options for 4G phones but if you want to stick to iOS operating system, then you may have to wait for Apple to release a 4G enabled handset.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
