Does the Quran really say to kill infidels?

If you search it in google, you will find this verses: "kill them wherever you find them. Drive them out of the places from which they drove you. Dissension is greater than killing"2:191 "fight against them until there is no dissension"2:193 But 2:193 continues "but if they desist, there shall be no aggression except against the harmdoers"If they desist don't aggress them.

And "fight in the way of allah those who fight against you,but do not aggress. Allah does not love the aggressors"2:190 Fight those who fight you it's very important. "but if they desist, know that allah is the forgiver and the most merciful"2:192 I will forgive them if they desist.

"If anyone aggresses against you,so aggress against him with the likeness of that which he has aggressed against you"2:194 If they aggress agaist you so aggress them. ---- "if they turn back take them and kill them wherever you find them"4:89 Why don't you read 4:90? "Except those who join to a nation in which there is between you and them a treaty..and..If they keep away from you and do not fight you, offering you peace, then allah does not make any way for you against them"4:90 if they don't fight you:There is no ways for you to aggress them ---- "strike them above the necks, smite their finger tips"8:12 This verse is about Badr war,At badr unbelievers fought muslim. As you know at Badr war muslim was not strong and unbelievers attacked muslim it's not about All unbelievers.

"when allah promised to grant you one of the two parties (at badr), and you wished for the one that was not strong."8:7 God wanted to show muslim those unbelievers are lieing and if you are not strong they will attack you. "it was not you who killed them, but allah slew them"8:17 God says you were not strong so I killed them not you. "if you desist,it will be better for you.

If you resume we will return, and even if your forces are numerous, they shall not help you at all. And allah is with the believers"8:19 God says to them after War:If you desist I will not fight you but If you resume we will return. ---- "therefore, when you meet the unbelievers smite their necks, then, when you have killed many of them, tie the bonds"47:4 It's not about all unbelievers it's about when you are at war,The quran talk about War not if you see an unbelievers, must kill him.

And after War ".... then, either free them by grace or ransom until war shall lay down its loads"47:4 ---- "fight them until persecution is no more and the religion of allah reigns supreme"8:39 But 8:39 continues"if they desist, allah sees the things they do" And "tell the unbelievers that if they abandon their ways he will forgive them what is past; but,if they return, that was indeed the way of their forefathers who have passed away"8:38 And "if they turn away, know that allah is your guardian"8:40 God forgives their past If they don't attack muslim.

.......one of the reasons for controversy with in islam is no doubt the controversial and conflicting verses in the Quran and so crops along with it a series of equally conflicting interpretations, and some creating extremists, and some creating peace lovers. Extremists and peace lovers read the same quran, but interprete it differently, each to serve its interests. This is all because the quran was revealed in piece meal, depending upon the circumstance and not at one go.so to get the right interpretation of the quran,it is necessary to appreciate the circumstance of the revelation, and never on it stand alone basis.

And there lies the reason for misinterpretation, giving birth to violent extremists. One verse says--kill the infidels and the other say ...love your enemy. On it stand alone, the first verse is given wrongful interpretation on disregarding the basis of the verse.

The quran being revealed over a long period of time has given rise to such a big problem. A real head ache to muslims,i reality, the quran do not tell muslims to kill the infidels, although it is wrongly thought so by non muslims,American muslims have no reasons to be happy about it,but have plenty of reasons to be sad about it. Just think, violent extremists and peace loving muslims read the same quran.

The quran produce the violent extremist along with peace loving muslims, perhaps peace lovers more and enough extremists to completely tarnish the image of islam and leaving it with the sad image it has now.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
