Does the Tea Party's future as a movement rest on its ability to reign in its more radical elements?

The Repubs are too short-sighted to realize that they've alienated many independents. Christine O'Donell (she of the Palinesque misunderstanding of ethics) is going to lose big-time. There have been too many right-wing loons nominated to persuade the indies that the Right is going to make any meaningful changes.

Quite the opposite. They're simply shooting themselves in the foot. The GOP could end up losing the election simply by not gaining any seats if they can't rid themselves of that O'Donnell lunatic, the whole GOP could end up being tarred with the same brush.

Radical, in this context, is code for Conservatives that have an appreciation for Conservative principles and won't fold like a lawn chair. That is why the Tea Parties sprang up in the first place. The days or out-of-control governmental spending, by Progressives and RINOs are coming to a close.

The Republicans that still don't get this are being shown the door or are at least being read the riot act.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
