Down comforter...beige. Stains appear out of nowhere. Any idea why?

It's on the bed in a 'guest room'. I washed and dried it after the last guests...and it looked perfect. Now, I notice funny light brown stains on it...almost like a 'coffee spill'...but NO people or pets have been in the room.

I've also noticed those strange stains on the same type comforter in the master bedroom. Do you have any idea what these stains are...where in heck do they come from? Maybe it wasn't completely dry?

One of a zillion reasons why I hate the color beige. It does seem to conjure water stains from nowhere, doesn't it? Likely, it's actually metals in your water remaining in the fabric, the light color of which makes them visible.

Or it's bleeding of the dye itself. But I have noticed beige fabrics I have doing that, while white sheets do not.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
