Isaiah 8:20 -- this is why. For nearly 1600 years, the supposedly Christian church has rejected the Biblical, God-ordained Sabbath. When this truth was rediscovered in the 1800s, He did speak to us, through the pen of Ellen G.
White, who had only a 3rd grade education, but is the most widely translated female author in American history. She wrote over 50 thousand pages of material. She also created the first nationally accepted diet for public schools.
She helped found the Seventh-day Adventist Church movement, which alone carries on the Reformation. Though one of the smallest denominations, with only 18 million members world-wide, we have the largest hospital and school system of them all, except the Roman Catholic Church, which has more than a billion members. God tells us in the Scriptures, the majority will be deceived (Mark 13:22; Revelation 16:14).
Also, we are present in every single nation on earth, which only the Roman Catholics can also claim. But you have to understand. The original Protestant Reformers adhered to the system of prophetic interpretation called Historicism -- which teaches that Daniel and Revelation have been playing out throughout history since Christ's time, which means God has not been silent.
But the Vatican started the Counter-Reformation, through the Jesuits, who started the only other two forms of prophetic interpretation -- Preterism, which teaches most of the book of Revelation happened in the past ---- and Futurism, which continually keeps putting off the prophecies of Revelation into some ever future time. The Jesuits formed to destroy the Protestants, and have since that time infiltrated every denomination, and caused more than 95% of Christians to accept one of either of the two of their systems of prophetic interpretation. They did all this to draw away from Rome the truth that the Protestant movement revealed -- that Rome was the beast, the Roman Catholic Church was the Whore of Babylon, and the papacy was the anti-Christ system.
Virtually all the Protestant Reformers discovered and taught this basic truth about Rome. But with the writings of Ellen G. White so widelly available, the Jesuits cannot wrest control of our church.
The laity would rise up against it when it would attempt to do so, because we have a more sure word of prophecy.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
