Jesus died instead of us. WE are all sinners and cannot do anything about it. It is our nature to sin.
God cannot look upon sin. We would never be able to go to heaven when we die. We would all be absent from God for eternity.
So Jesus did what we could not. Be the perfect, sinless sacrifice. He took all of our sin on Himself.
Every one of them. Even the ones that were not committed yet and bore them on the cross. The torture, agony and humiliation that we were to suffer for eternity was placed on Him.
Because of this, when we know we are sinners and need a savior and we believe that Jesus is the only person who can save us and we ask Him into our hearts to be our personal savior, we are freed from our sin and made white as snow in the eyes of God. Now that is not to say we will never sin. We will.
But when we do , and we ask for forgiveness, we are forgiven. We should try not to sin and we have the Holy Spirit in us to help us not to sin, but we will anyway as long as we are in these carnal bodies. The people who do not believe in Jesus do so because of their free will.
They must choose to accept what Jesus did for them. Otherwise, they will be absent from God for all eternity. Jesus death was sufficient forgiving for them so more is not needed.
Jesus died because he was considered by those in power to be a heretic, which in those days, was unlawful. It was purely political.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
