Hitler always intended to invade Russia after he conquered Western Europe anyway. Prior to invading Poland in 1939 Hitler signed a non-aggression pact with Russia to give him time to build a massive military force to strike Russia in 1941. Some historians believe Hitler may well have conquered Russia if it wasn't for his meglomania personality.
His brilliant Generals urged him to take the Russian capital Moscow immediately which would have created complete caos for Stalin and his govt to run Russia. Moscow would have fallen but Hitler wanted the Russian oilfields and Stalingrad first which allowed time for Stalin to re-organize and rebuild his military. Some tend to forget but the USA and Britain supplied Russia with arms and food during this time which was another factor in Russia surviving Hitlers conquest.
Hitler/ Nazism and Stalin/ Communism are both evil idealogies designed to suppress and control the personal freedoms of its peoples. Its unlikely Hitler and Stalin's regimes would have co-existed in Europe for any length of time without either attacking one another which Hitler did first.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
