Earthquake @ 7.3 richter scale struck Indonesia today. tsunami bound to happen? warning for 2012?

A quake of magnitude 7.0 on the Richter Scale has struck Indonesia, however about 200 km away from Jakarta (the capital). No this is not a warning for 2012! As 2012 is not even a date which should be associated with anything special would it not be for Hollywood, Boulevard Press and would-be conspiracists.

If you had any knowledge of the Mayas, from whom the prediction apparently comes, you would know that this is just a made up story. The Mayan calendar runs in cycles, the largest being just over 5000 years and one is ending in 2012 (December 21st). However even that is debatable.

I have a newspaper article here next to me in which a German researchers findings on the topic are presented, he says that probably the Mayas calendar has been correlated wrong with ours by previous researchers and the actual date would be 2220. Even when one of these dates will occur it doesn't matter. The Mayas solely say that WHEN THE CYCLE ENDS A NEW CYCLE WILL START.

There is no evidence in Mayan writing or culture that 2012 or any other date is a dooms day date. If you are in doubt read up about the subject from scientists and specialists in the field, not what you read online or hear in the movies.

Yes, a 7.1 strong earthquake hit the southern coast of the main island of Java. Six are reported dead. The Tsunami warning has been lifted though.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
