I'm sorry but iPhones, game consoles, computers and cameras seem to be "scammers heaven" everywhere. Unless you can prove that the phone returned isn't the phone sold (phones have serial numbers etc) you can't prove the phone you got back is the phone you sold and sent. It's really tricky.
He could argue he never got the phone pictured in the listing hence his dispute, he is only returning what you sent him! If as the owner of the original phone you have is IEM number you can get it blocked rendering the phone useless to the scammer. You won't get your phone back but it denies the thief a usuable phone!
I would only recommend selling such items to "personal buyers" ie people who you meet somewhere and in exchange for cash you hand over the phone. That way both seller and buyer are protected. You have scam buyers and also scam sellers or these items, it's a minefield in my opinion and I've been on eBay 10 years now and just wouldn't buy these items because of the high likelihood of problems.
That's not eBay's fault (and in fact, it's against return policy guidelines)... it's yours. If he issued a chargeback on his credit card, rather than you sending him a refund, then you'll need to take it up with PayPal and open a claim against him.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
