Fantasy baseball advice needed: Which is a better idea, trading Garrett Atkins or holding on to him?

I thought I had a nice pick with Atkins in the third round of my draft, but he has done nothing but suck this year. Dropping him is out of the question, because he was the top 3b last year, but I really am getting tired of his lack of power and .220 average.(Especially when Kouzmanoff is starting to hit, and Mark Reynolds of the D'backs gets called up and starts tearing the cover off the ball - last night he was 5 for 5 with 2 home runs and a triple. These guys are both available on the free agent wire, in addition to less exciting options such as Chad Tracy (who is injured a lot).

Or, I could move Kevin Youkilis over to 3b and get an OF.)Anyway, I really do not want to trade him, as 1. I will get about 30 cents on the dollar due to his current lack of production and 2. If he turns it around I will be kicking myself, but I really do not have a lot of options right now.

He is nearly single handedly killing my team. And no, I can't drop anyone else off my team to get a backup 3b. Asked by notinuse 56 months ago Similar questions: Fantasy baseball advice needed idea trading Garrett Atkins holding Sports & Recreation > Baseball.

Keep him. The time to trade is when they are hot. When they are not, just hold on and hope he gets out of the slump.

If you do it now in a trade, you can put benchmarks on his production - eg. IF he hits this much and does that much by this time I get this as well.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
