Hi Tan I am a former counterintelligence agent and I can tell you that - the job is what you make of it. However, it's not like in the movies. This is a thankless job and most of the time the public will never know of your accomplishments.
You will not get rich working for the government so the pay is just like any other government job. You must keep up with current events and understand have a thorough understanding of issues, politics, and cultures. Learn history in school and try to learn a different language.
This line of work requires alot of dedication and you can't just hang up your tie at 5pm... the job is 24/7. The job is rewarding personally so think about what you want in life before you pursue this direction. Hope this helps A.
Its not like the movies most cia employees only do paper work.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
