Feminism is NOT needed in the western world, feminism, as of around the 1960's, has been a hate based movement. Most of the issues feminists discuss are non issues. Feminists almost entirely complain about problems in the western world, which is a key point.
1) Examples of non issues feminists revolve around: a) Objectification - men being attracted to women demeans them (according to feminists) (No evidence of this) b) Wage gap - As a whole, women earn less, but less women work, choose higher paid jobs etc. If a man and a woman do the same job, in the same position, they get paid exactly the same, various laws in every western country show this. Proof: http://www.eeoc.gov/laws/statutes/epa.cf... c) Job discrimination - Feminists make unfounded claims that men won't hire women, it's nonsense, many male employers employ more women than men! It's actually women who have been shown to have this guild mentality when choosing employers in my experience.

Feminism is properly used. The reason why it doesn't seem like it is you have all these feminism-freaks in the media, getting offended by every little thing. A lot of times they contradict their own arguments, sometimes saying that women should be treated equal to men, and sometimes saying women should be treated better, depending on which argument gives them the "better" outcome.
Reality is, there are always people in every community, societal group, etc that are over zealous and take their beliefs to the extreme. Feminism is no exception.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
