The best ice arena managers are the ones that know something about figure skating, but when it comes down to it, much of the time, rink managers are in the dark. They pretend they understand our sport, but what we do is so complex, it is almost impossible to understand the figure skating world without first being immersed in it. Some rink managers just don't like figure skaters and figure skating coaches.
They think of "us" as the enemy and don't realize how valuable we are to their facility. I'm going to come up with a quote: "Ice skating rinks can't survive without figure skaters!" Recently, I got in an argument with my rink's figure skating office manager over sign-up procedures for figure skating sessions.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
