Firefox bookmarks change when I change internet service?

Firefox bookmarks change when I change internet service When I use my wireless network at work to log on to the internet, the bookmarks load the correct page. When I use a usb/cellular phone connection, several of the bookmarks load different pages from the one saved. What gives?

And how can I fix it? Asked by ipodaddict 30 months ago Similar questions: Firefox bookmarks change internet service Computers > Internet.

The most probable answer is that the mobile card is taking you to the mobile site to save bandwidth the most probable answer is that the mobile card is taking you to the mobile site to save bandwidth. The way to fix this is to look around the page to see if there is something that says "view full page" or something like that. Also use wifi/ethernet instead of usb cellular connection, it will be much faster..

Possibility... You may be familiar with the services on cellular phones (ISP) that allow web browsing from the phone. If so, perhaps that is why the bookmarks vary. The cell phone service is not the same as the pc (program wise) so there will be variances with the way the program is read by a computer.

Try using a wifi connection (att) that should be better for you. I have used firefox for some time. If you want to try installing your browser over again there may be an update that fixes the issues you are having.Be sure to uninstall the original version first... I am sure you knew that.

Hope some of this helps.

2 Here's my theory. You are using two different Internet Service Providers (ISP). Each ISP has their own Domain Name Server (DNS).

The DNS translates the domain in a URL to a numeric address. For example, the URL for this Question isaskville.amazon.com/Firefox-bookmarks-ch... domain name is "askville.amazon. Com", which has to be translated to a numeric address by your ISP when your computer accesses it.My guess is that one of these DNS has the wrong addresses in it.

This could be deliberate or could be the result of a virus at the ISP. It could be that the ISP for your work has been set up to restrict which web sites that can be accessed. Can someone else here at AV verify this theory?

Or design a test for it? This user has been banned from Askville.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
