First, you need a mirror! Your hub is rude and condescending, patronizing and mostly IGNORANT?

I think some hubs are deliberately provocative as these then get attention, which drives up ratings. I wish more people would rate down such articles and get them buried forever.

Thanks Mick -- if the original poster had expressed it the way you did I wouldn't have taken exception, but she stereotyped everyone when she had no real experience to base it on, other than personal anecdotes. In addition, there's the unknown number of americans who do not act like she claims, but she'd never seen them since they're under her radar, yet she condemns all blindly. I know when i'm traveling in Europe and Asia, and people ask, i'm rarely taken as an american - usually poeople ask if i'm southern or central european, but have even been taken for Japanese.

I've communicated with many North Americans on here and other sites and I've found them to be just the same as anyone else. Face to Face, I've met, a couple of native Americans, two 18 year old girls in the 60s, very accommodating. I've met Canadians, no problems with them, I've never met any Mexicans.

Sadly, I've worked with and known socially a few US Americans, with one exception, my daughter-in-law, they have all behaved in the way described in the hub to which you are referring, I don't know why, but it is so, some to the point where I've said, 'if you don't like it here, go back to where you came from. ' Only less politely than that. I'm sure that like all nationalities, there is good and bad, perhaps only the ones we don't want to see are the ones that come over here?

Cascoly, this rant describes some HUMAN BEINGS from any country, not some Americans. "Isabella Snow" is just an unhappy American hater who puts us down to make herself feel better. I lived in the UK.

If you saw the anti-Americanism that I did in Europe, you would wish that Americans wouldn't give Europe any tourist dollars.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
