For all you hoarders and crafters out there: How do you store your fabric, materials and craft supplies?

1 lol...yeah....I have a major system for storing my stuff. I'm almost a bit compulsive about it! I'm going to ask my husband for the information on the storage system we have. It's great, nice and neat, a space for everything and the price wasn't outrageous - much better than a designer line similar to the one we purchased!

I'll let you know when I get the info.

I will start with a 7 foot tall wooden shelf x 3 feet wide with 6 shelves ~ all for crafts (mine and my 6 year old) & in the boys bedroom I have an old wooden toy box filled with fabric and a very large container in the closet filled with fabric. Also in another closet I have all my pictures/scrapbook stuff in backpacks (cause I take them a lot to different avents we do with crafts). You will very rarly see my 8 foot kitchen table (it's handmade by my sister, love it) not half filled with some type of project we are working on.

Truff replied to post #1: 3 thanks cak! I'm so unorganized I never end up doing anything because I have stuff stashed allover the house. By the time I find what i'm looking for (if I even do find it) I don't feel like crafting anymore!

You will need some fabric, I use an old towel, and your hot iron. Then, you squeeze the cleaner on the iron plate and iron the towel to remove the burnt on fabric. I have used this product for several years and it "Removes melted web, fusibles, iron-on interfacings, trims, burned-on synthetics, and coatings caused by excess starch and detergent build-up from iron soleplates."

Now, you might have to use it more than once, with the burnt on fabric. Sometimes I can only find the two pack of little bottles of cleaner available ( it can be purchased at Walmart or Target) and have to use both to thoroughly clean my iron. Burning to iron!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
