Nope! Nothing before High School matters whatsoever, unless you accomplished something extraordinary. A "C" or even two will not affect your chances if, let's say, you have other ways to make up for it like extracurricular activities, or ADVANCED PLACEMENT courses.
I got 2 Cs in High School but every single one of my classes with exception of PE and my electives were "honors" I took AP European History(2), English Lang(3), English Comp(2), Spanish Lang(5), Spanish Comp(3), U.S. History(3), Biology(3), and Chemistry(4). I got into all the UC's I applied to including UCLA which is the school I currently attend. Grades are important, but there are also other factors that many uni's take into consideration!
Also, AP courses help your GPA. I did not get straight A's, but taking APs give you extra points. If I got a B in an AP course, it came to the equivalent of an "A" and when I got A's in APs I would get extra points that ended making up for the Cs or Bs.
In the end I ended up with a 4.01gpa :).
Grades before high school don't matter. So don't worry about it. Do your best in high school and you will be fine.
By the way, regardless of grades, or even having a diploma, you can always go to community college when you turn 18.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
