I had never heard of it, and I don't know of your grandson's parents' background, but I ran across this: "Doctors are uncertain why Goldenhar occurs. However, they do not believe it is the result of anything the mother did while she was pregnant. Environmental factors may play a part and there does seem to be an increased incidence of Goldenhar among the children of Gulf War Veterans.
Currently, a scientific study is being conducted by the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and The Association of Birth Defect Children, Inc. They are trying to locate all children with Goldenhar syndrome who were born since July 1, 1991 and who had a parent who served in the U.S. millitary in any capacity in 1990 or 1991. If you are interested in this study, please contact the Association of Birth Defect Children by email at [email protected] or call (407) 895-0802.
Please indicate that you were referred by FACES.".
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
