Got a kindle as a gift but do not have wireless. How to I register it and buy books. Do I have to buy a router?

Not if you don't want to - there any number of places where you can get free wireless service - McDonalds, Starbucks, you local library, and zillions of others. Of course, if you want to do this at home, then a router will be helpful. You can get routers for as little as $19.95, so the price is not horrible,.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
