Oh, Yes! I've seen Hachi and it is so compelling. A true story about a dog who actually lived in Japan and who waited many years for his deceased friend to show at the usual time after work.
Very very sad and, yet, wonderful story. I sometimes believe that my relationship w/one of my cats is continued from before...when I was about 9, I lost a beautiful black and white kitten to a horrible death. I still think of that sadness even to this day, many many years later.
Recently, I rescued a mother cat and her kittens. One, a black and white little girl I named Sox is so attached...from the first instant I saw her. She acts as if she's known me forever.
Of all the animals I have, she is the one who constantly reaches out to me, seems to need to be near me all the time while her litter mates play together, run around and are not as interested in my presence, this little Sox just HAS to be near me. The little black and white female kitten from so many years ago came to my mind immediately and I wonder if Sox might be that kitten spirit. I don't know but I sure do wonder.
My dogs do the same thing. My boyfriend comes home from work around the same time every day, and the dogs know when to expect him. They wait for him by the door for about 10 minutes before he comes home.It is so cute!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
