Move on I get the feeling you are quite young from your question. Look at it this way, if your boss feels that way about you, then why would you want to work there anymore anyways. Move on to a different job before you end up getting fired.
True or not, your boss clearly doesn't approve of your work. Notice as well that your boss gave specifics, didn't say you were an idiot. If that terminology was used then you might have a way of fighting, but if there are examples that your boss can provide where you didn't take instruction or think quickly, then you won't win that fight.
Take is as a lesson and move on. Take it from someone who's job requires you to think on your feet, and there is no allowance for being new. Lives depend on decisions right from day one in some jobs.
If you don't come into the position with the natural talent for it, then you must move on. Sources: my opinion .
1 Well I think that it was very rude of your ex-employer to say that. You know, some people are like that, it doesn't matter what you do, or how smart you are, they have formed their opinion of you, and thats that. You know the truth, so ignore their so called opinion, they aren't worth your time.

2 Of course. My last employer was a boss from hell. He would insult me everyday and I was told that I was the worst employee he ever had.So glad I don't work there anymore.

Figures; but just because that is what he thinks does not make it true or valid in any shape or form. Just be happy he is a previous employer and hope for better luck with the next employer.
" "Am I a complete idiot to put up with this behaviour?" "A "Christian" (former) employer put forth this doctrine/belief and I wonder what others think of it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
