I'm one that should reconsider. Totall collapse of arch and ankle support. Surgery in 2003 not that successful.
The pain of the torn tendons is gone but I have limited mobility. No one can guarantee. I would recommend you go to an awesome sports doctor that tends to these multi million $$$ contracted sports guys.
I can share names if you wish and they are in New York City. Also depends on your age and where you live.
Sort of. I have what is called a "tarsal coalition"--two ankle bones fused together which made the cartillage wear out between two adjoining ankle bones. Then I broke the same ankle in three places when running to get the phone (tripped over a dog toy).
The surgery was completely successful, to my surprise. I thought they might take one look at the x-rays and tell me it was time for the junkyard. That was about 10 years ago.It seems like they can do just about anything in operating rooms these days.
Violet has the right idea--going to a doctor who specializes in "sports medicine. " Even if you are not going to one in the top rank who treats celebrities, you will be better if you request a specialist in sports medicine in any clinic or hospital setting you go to.
My Daughter-in-law (lovelylady319) fell and broke her ankle in two places and had to have surgery...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
