Yes I have viewed it and Wolfram Alpha is amazing. The only issue I have with it is some limitations on the data is has available. For example I was able to use National GDP to do some interesting analysis, but it did not have GDP at the state level.(at least it didn't when I was trying) The data in Alpha is vetted, which is wonderful since you know that the numbers you are using are the real deal and not just made up to look good on wikipedia.
The only issue is that since it needs to be vetted, some things might not be there. I think Wolfram Alpha will be a very amazing service in the coming year.It has the potential to change data analysis in ways we can't even imagine today.
I have watched the video. The problem is that they only show examples that work well. When I try to use Wolfram Alpha for real world queries I usually end up with nothing because their data sets are still too small.
The technology has potential but we won't be able to tell whether it will be a useful tool until Wolfram Alpha greatly increases the amount of data they have.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
