Yes, it was an excellent movie. Almost very close to being a perfect film. Clint Eastwood was great as usual.
However, the girl stole the show. The ending was unusual and it would be difficult for anyone to guess the outcome even with clues. Jamie Cullum's ending track was brilliant.
Really poignant and summed up the film wonderfully. Here is a review if you are interested. yellowmagpie.com/gran-torino-film-review.
I thought it was a good movie. Clint Eastwood did a great job of portraying someone who had a rough life and grew up in a racist environment yet still managed to have a good heart in his own way. I appreciated that it didn't devolve into a crazy and unbelievable violent vigilante movie.
I plan to buy the DVD for my collection so that I can re-watch it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
