Has anyone stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge?

Personal experiences only, please. Im strongly considering staying there when we go in March.My kids will be 3 1/2 and 18 months. Is it worth it, will they love it, or should we stay somewhere cheaper?

Put it this way I stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge on a business trip and I woke up to a giraffe walking by my window, kids will love it! There is good food and a great pool the kids will love the animals and there are plenty of places to look and take pictures. Sources: own .

It's nice....but Me again! Figure I would answer all of your Disney questions.. I thought the Animal Kingdom was just ok. This is where my wife and I took our 5 year old when he was 2 months old.

The restaurants are very good, and the kids will like the outside area where you can see some animals. The problem is that the kids will expect to see animals, and this can be a hit or miss. Depending on the time of day you may not see much at all.

I spent the extra money to get a room on the preserve side. I was hoping to see some animals close to my room. Nothing!

I had a better view of animals from one of the hallway windows. If you want to stay here, try to request a room at the far end of the lodge, you will have a better view of the preserve, but the walk with the kids may not help. It does have a nice interior, but that will hold the kids attention for about 3 seconds.

You also don't have any other transportation other than your car and a bus. I don't want to turn you away from going here if this is where you want to stay, you may have a better experience than our family. Again, as in the other answer, get Birmbaums book.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
