I use Ortho-evra patch that helps my symptoms I wear the patch for 6 weeks so I only have my periods every 7 weeks. Sometimes I wait longer within periods. It's awesome.

I still have problems with the endometriosis during my periods but not nearly as severely as before I started the patch nonstop. Other birth control pills can be used the same way just talk to your doctor about it first. My doctor doesn't want me to have periods at all but I've recently gotten married and I want to ensure that I'm not pregnant just in case.

Yes, and it was quite by accident. I was told that endometriosis can be cured through childbirth, but that it's almost impossible to become pregnant if you have it. Great, huh?

Anyway, I had a very slight heart condition and my doctor prescribed a heart medication that took away ALL my symptoms! He couldn't believe it and said he was going to share the info with the medical community. I'm trying very hard to remember what the medication was .. .

I had the heart condition fixed about 20 years ago so haven't needed to take it since. I took two drugs for it, actually. One was digoxin, and I know it wasn't that one.

He also had me on Inderol briefly, but that took too much energy from me, so he switched me to (I'll get it .. . ).Nope. I've looked all over the Internet and can't find it.

Perhaps they don't make it anymore. Anyway, it was a beta blocker and was normally used for high blood pressure (which I didn't have). But we were so surprised that it took away the horrible, horrible pain I used to experience and made my periods so much easier.

2 I am very sorry to hear that your wife also suffers from this awful disease. My daughter has seen so many gynocologist for this disease and the only solution they ever provide for her are birth control pills. They don't work for everyone, and she is one of them.

We have also tried homeopathy and that worked for a few months after the initial time it takes for a persons body to responde to homeopathic meds which is about 6 weeks, but her body stopped responding and we were back at square one. We have tried accupuncture, herbal medicine, through a trainned professional of course, but still no help. We believe if we can find someone who specializes in endometriosis and are professional homeopathic or herbal medicine doctors that we will probably do well.My daughter lost an ovary at age 14.

She has had 4 surgery's all together to remove cyst and fibroid tumors. I also suffer from this disease, but not nearly to the degree of severity as my daughter. I don't know everything about this illness, but if I can help please don't hesitate to write.
