If you like storylines, Rockstar Games always exceeds in that category. I would reccomend both Red Dead Redemption and LA Noire. It's a shame that you aren't into shooters because Battlefield: Bad Company 2 continues the Bad Company series with another amazing story.
It is my favorite shooter ever because the campaign is fun, it has an excellent story, and the dialogue is funny at times. The Multiplayer is also excellent and the gameplay is just fun in general. Just typing this is getting me exited for Battlefield 3.
Anyways, other games you mentioned are really great as well. I absolutely love Dead Space 2, and I've heard from reliable sources that Batman Arkham City is great and has amazing physics. As for Assassins Creed, I'm eagerly awaiting AC:Revalations, the game to answer all questions in order to lead the player into AC3.
So Here is the list: Red Dead Redemption LA Noire Dead Space 2 Bad Company 2 Assassins Creed Revalations Batman Arkham City (this is last because I havn't actually played it).
YES DEAD SPACE 2 (or 1 if you haven't played it) so freaking scary I'm currently playing it for a second time and even though I know when some enemy is going to attack it still gets me every time I love it. Arkham City for sure cannot wait. If you haven't played Uncharted you definitely need to.
If you like racing then Dirt 3 is really fun. InFamous is a really great game and if you haven't played it you can get it free once the Welcome Back Program is released on the PSN. I totally agree with you on FPS games, I hate them.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
