D'aww, Dave thinks I'm the IWC. Barrett probably could've worked as a main eventer because he's capable of talking, he looks like a main eventer, and he can wrestle the WWE's style very well. If that doesn't sell you, then take into account that he has a faction at the ready to do his bidding.
I'm not saying Nexus wasn't flawed, and that a majority of them had zero future if they continued with a faction gimmick that was clearly more of a jumping off point for them rather than their general personality, but Wade has always had upside to him because he talks, looks, and carries himself like a main eventer, gimmick or not. The choice to win and beat two members of a fairly dominant faction after eating a DDT on concrete was John's. Edge said it was dumb, Jericho said it was dumb, and Cena regretted it later as well because while Nexus wasn't the end all be all of anybodies career involved, killing it the way it was killed instead of having the members fall off one-by-one to find their own successful paths as faction members often do (Bray, Prime Time Playas, Ryback, etc.) Cena nipped their potential in the bud and set them back, and nobodies suffered more from that than Wade.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
