To turn heel John would have to turn on the kids. They idealise the qualities of the strong, stoic, never-give-up winner. First of all I would change his stoic quality.
I would make John World Champion (again), and show the audience John enjoying the trappings of success. Huge house, adoring female fans, fast cars, hobnobbing with celebrities, enjoying life as a big party. Then I would get John to say that he's never going to give this up.
Second, I would overdo John's strong, never-say die qualities, and have them feed into an increasing ego. I would have John beat down tag-teams, destroy opponents, refuse offers for help, and be a one-man-wrecking-crew. I would then have opponents, allies, and commentators talk up that John is loving this a bit too much, and that he's changed.
Third, I would get John to mix his work with his material trappings. Bring out celebrities to be in his ring corner, do dances in the ring with models, and bling John up the wazoo. Fourth, I would echo concern from commentators that John's head was no longer in the game.
I would get wrestlers to begin disrespecting John, because he wasn't taking his job as seriously. Fifth, I would turn John Cena. I would use the authority to ground John, through rebukes, punishments, and threats.
John Cena is 38 years old, and has not matched(or surpassed) Flair's 16 World Titles yet. If he does turn heel(and I still highly doubt that he will), it'll be near the end of his career, almost like when Hulk Hogan and The Rock did it. He's getting up there in age, but he's still not at that point.
At least, not yet.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
