Just as with the burning of the Reichstag, Obama's election made it easier to channel the insane scapegoating monstrosity that comprises the vitriol of the ultra-right into specific "hate points". Hate is their focus and their reason for existence. Stupidity, ignorance, and vitriol are their fuel.
The Tea Party was organized by the big insurance companies and corrupt billionaires whose genuine interest is in making ordinary Americans wage labor slaves in the bitterest Marxist sense, declaring a vicious class war and relying upon the most demented fools in history to slavishly work even against their own interests. Had Orwell written about such a group and series of events seventy years ago, critics would've attacked his premise as unbelievable and completely ridiculous, noting "no one could possibly be that stupid", in reference to the Teabaggers and the creep fellow travelers. What has happened is, the lunatic fringe, neo-Nazi right has become acceptable in the strange, upside-down, psychopathological world of the screwball reactionary.
And "screwball reactionaries" is who peoples this disgusting "movement". It is often called the "bowel movement", which I think is actually a comparative compliment.
You are mistaken. The TEA Party was founded before Obama was elected, most probably by DEMOCRATS, in an effort to split the Republican vote between "fiscal conservatives" and "social conservatives" and thus pit those two constituencies against EACH OTHER instead of allowing them to focus their efforts on beating Obama... Did it work? (Who is President?).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
