Have you been writing a book and need a editor to review ... an editor who has helped authors get published. I've helped three authors get published this year: one, a memoir; one, a children's book; and a collection of poems. If you need professional help that gets publishing results, please respond.

Consider posting on this site as many people here might be interested in an editor. National Novel Writers Month is an annual event in November where thousands of people attempt to write a novel (50,000 words or 175 pages) in a single month. Many participants are professional writers who do this for a living but are looking to produce something in a short time.

However, many others are new or even first time novel writers who are just trying it for the fun and challenge. Local groups meet once or twice a week during that month and do "group writing", where everyone writes there individual novel. But you have the support of the group if say you need a character name or situation to write about.

The time constraint of the month means that many of the works that come out of the effort are crappy, but the idea is there and needs to be fostered into a great novel. There is no obligation (or assurances) that you novel will be published but if you are interested in it you have to pursue it on your own. When I read your question, I immediatly thought of this as a place for you to advertise your services.

Although it doesn't start until November, the message boards (local and otherwise) are very active on the site and you may consider posting there. In addition, some groups meet year round so you should consider contacting the local coordinator for information. I think these type of people would be perfect for you as new and motivated writers who may want a professional opinion of their work.

I have posted more information about NaNoWrMo below directly from the website. Good luck! ------What is NaNoWriMo?

National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.

Valuing enthusiasm and perseverance over painstaking craft, NaNoWriMo is a novel-writing program for everyone who has thought fleetingly about writing a novel but has been scared away by the time and effort involved. Because of the limited writing window, the ONLY thing that matters in NaNoWriMo is output. It's all about quantity, not quality.

The kamikaze approach forces you to lower your expectations, take risks, and write on the fly. Make no mistake: You will be writing a lot of crap. And that's a good thing.By forcing yourself to write so intensely, you are giving yourself permission to make mistakes.

To forgo the endless tweaking and editing and just create. To build without tearing down.As you spend November writing, you can draw comfort from the fact that, all around the world, other National Novel Writing Month participants are going through the same joys and sorrows of producing the Great Frantic Novel. Wrimos meet throughout the month to offer encouragement, commiseration, and -- when the thing is done -- the kind of raucous celebrations that tend to frighten animals and small children.

In 2006, we had over 79,000 participants. Nearly 13,000 of them crossed the 50k finish line by the midnight deadline, entering into the annals of NaNoWriMo superstardom forever. They started the month as auto mechanics, out-of-work actors, and middle school English teachers.

They walked away novelists. So, to recap: What: Writing one 50,000-word novel from scratch in a month's time. Who: You! We can't do this unless we have some other people trying it as well.

Let's write laughably awful yet lengthy prose together. Why: The reasons are endless! To actively participate in one of our era's most enchanting art forms!

To write without having to obsess over quality. To be able to make obscure references to passages from our novels at parties. To be able to mock real novelists who dawdle on and on, taking far longer than 30 days to produce their work.

Who will read my novel when I'm done? Anyone you want. Last year, some people swapped novels afterwards and it was a hoot.

But it's entirely up to you. No one will read your novel until you're ready for them to. Do you edit or publish the finished products?

We'd love to be able to publish everyone's work, but our connections to the fiction-publishing world end at Kinkos. You are welcome, however, to put excerpts from your novel-in-progress up on our site. Does NaNoWriMo own to the rights to novels written during November?Nope.

All words are yours and yours alone. Novels emailed in at the end of the month for word count verification are deleted, unread, after being verified. When do I start writing?

At 12:00:01 am local time on November 1. How do you win? Are there judges?

What are the prizes? The way to win NaNoWriMo is by writing 50,000 words by midnight on November 30. Every year, there are many, many winners.

There are no "Best Novel" or "Quickest-Written Novel" awards given out. All winners will get an official "Winner" web icon and certificate. ComWhy 50,000 words? Isn't that more of a novella? Our experiences over the past seven years show that 50,000 is a difficult but doable goal, even for people with full-time jobs and children.

The length makes it a short novel. We don't use the word "novella" because it doesn't seem to impress people the way "novel" does. How do you define "novel?"

Does fan fiction count? What if I want to write interconnected short stories rather than a novel? What if my story is largely autobiographical, or is based on a real person?

Can I still write it in November? We define a novel as "a lengthy work of fiction. " Beyond that, we let you decide whether what you're writing falls under the heading of "novel."

In short: If you believe you're writing a novel, we believe you're writing a novel too. Why are you doing this? What do you get out of it?

NaNoWriMo is all about the magical power of deadlines. Give someone a goal and a goal-minded community and miracles are bound to happen. Pies will be eaten at amazing rates.

Alfalfa will be harvested like never before. And novels will be written in a month. Part of the reason we organize NaNoWriMo is just to get a book written.

We love the fringe benefits accrued to novelists. For one month out of the year, we can stew and storm, and make a huge mess of our apartments and drink lots of coffee at odd hours. And we can do all of these things loudly, in front of people. As satisfying as it is to reach deep within yourself and pull out an unexpectedly passable work of art, it is equally (if not more) satisfying to be able to dramatize the process at social gatherings.

But that artsy drama window is woefully short. The other reason we do NaNoWriMo is because the glow from making big, messy art, and watching others make big, messy art, lasts for a long, long time. The act of sustained creation does bizarre, wonderful things to you.

It changes the way you read. And changes, a little bit, your sense of self. We like that.

I'd like to write an article on NaNoWriMo. Can I interview some of the participants in my area?Absolutely. We've put together a Media Kit stuffed with useful information about getting in touch with participants and other journalistic FAQs.

After you've read it, get in touch and let us know what we can do to help you with your article. Sources: http://www.nanowrimo.org/ .

I don't need it YET, but I will... I am writing a book, the topic is the most underrated rock and roll albums of all time...it is opinion, humor and rock criticism. Any interest? .

Best, Jay .

I just self-published a book through authorhouse-they use amazon as a channel how do I know how many books amazon sells.

Do anyone have the test bank for Human resource management book, authors: Sara Gilmore & Steve Williams ,published oxfor.

I have hundred of books all put in almost 50 categories by authors. How can I mark a book as read without delete/move it.

What are sites and areas where I can find information about writing books.

A recently published paperback on calculus, popular writing, not a testbook/educational book.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
