I stepped foot in Myanmar whilst cruising up the Mekong - tho' only for a matter of minutes and certainly not enough to form an impression. Don't worry too much about negative comments about your country in the press (or elsewhere). These are generally aimed at the current government not the people or culture.

It was a great experience and travelling at its most grittiest. I am full of admiration for the oppressed people of Burma and hope soon you can free yourselves from the oppressive regime.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
