The only time something like this happened to me was when I used a GreaseMonkey script that allows you to automatically search using Google as many pages as it takes until you find a result from a particular site. You might ask why not simply add "site:xyz. Com" to the search - it's because I wanted to see what was the location in the general Google search that the specific site was at.
The problem was that if the site in question came in at say result #1000 of the general search, this would generate a hit on Google 100 times in a second or two. So the answer is that yes, if you hit too many searches in too short a time, Google suspects this is a potential hack or DOS attack and shuts you down for a while. I found that waiting a while (15-30 minutes) usually unlocked that.
I also learned to stop these auto-searches after the 10th page. After all, if a result is not in the first 100 spots, it matters very little if it's in spot 101 or 1,000,001. To avoid getting such a message, simply space out your searches, and don't do too many in too short a time.
No & had no idea they could do that , but I would never get near that in 1 day.
I've never heard of that. You must've been doing A LOT of searches to get that message. It must be some anti-spam thing that prevents bots from using google to collect information.
If it happens again, you can try using one of the other search engines Yahoo, Bing, etc..Or since google tracks you via cookies/IP you can delete your cookies (link at the bottom) and use a proxy (several links at the bottom).
I made it quite easy while I was trying to get to know which is the biggest numbers that the google caculator can calculate( it was something about 10^203 or so).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
