Have you ever experienced a bump in the night paranormal?

Ive had some really weird feelings in some of the old homes ive worked in, but the boogaman hasnt got me yet!

I have experienced what is called an 'out of body experience'. Many years ago I dabbled in something called 'focal point meditation'. I used a single flame, such as on a candle.

I also, after much practice can take but three breaths per minute. At that time I start to move the flame away from me until it is so far away that it is nothing more than a pin point. I bring it toward me slowly until it grows to be a great flame.

I introduced a mountain range. I mentaly had the flame engulf the mountain range. At that time I was in a self induced hypnotic state.

I thought of family who were many miles away. I saw myself going from room to room and checking on their well being.

When I went to visit them some time later, I was told a fantastic story. They swore that I was there. They also said their doberman went from room to room as if he were looking for or at someone.

I filled in blanks for them that only they knew.

You are the first person I shared this story with. I thought people would think I was crazy.

I am a chef and have been known to be crazy. That goes with the territory. But this was different.

Thank you for sharing. I had a reason for asking this. I have had more than my share of paranormal experiences starting at age 5.

I would have a vision, halfsleep halfawake, not knowing which I was in, and then the vision, a scene and it engulfed the room and me, I would be in it. I would tell my mother and father and they would show me the newspaper for that morning, my vision was frontpage news. My mother told me it ran in our family and she shared things that happened prior to being trucked off to POW camp and during her stay.

She could not go with organized religion though she did believe. She told me not to tell anyone about what I was capable of because they would say I was crazy. We lived in the South, they are kinda locked into beliefs there.

She taught me how to meditate and quit a few other things. I know you were there Alan.

When I was married and my husband in a squdron in Maine I predicted 3 P3 crashes and described them perfectly. He has always believed because of all the predictions I have made when we first married to divorce. I was on the plane with the people and I remember wondering why they could not see me or hear what I was saying.

I was telling them what was going to happen and they just were not listening.

I predicted the Shuttle crash, came home and told my husband it was going down, all would be killed and it would resemble a 4th of July fireworks display. The announcer talking of it said it looked like fireworks. I have saved a few people's lives with it.

My heart has stopped 3 times and they had to paddle me back, I had an experience, I do not fear death anymore and the experience is the reason I have chosen such difficult fields where people were going to die. I could relate and it helped them because I had bonded with them and they knew I was not lying.

I have studied the paranormal for years just to know there are others who know what I do. Quantum Physics is right on paranormal and explains much in a scientific manner. Great starter book is " The Holographic Universe", I do not know the author but you might enjoy reading it.It explores what we have been talking about.

If you read the words of Jesus Christ, just his words, he tells his followers they are powerful. When he withered the fig tree and his followers where in awe he said if they had the faith of a mustard seed they could tell the mts to run into the sea and they would. He tried to make them understand.St Paul in Corinthians 13 and 14 addresses the gifts God has given us and says above them all the greatest is the gift of prophacy.

We could talk all day but it is an open forum and they already think I am nutz because I am so very passionate and determined in my answers. Always been like that. Either you hate me or like me no inbetween.

I would not change me for anything I am blessed with so much and have been given by Universalmind everything I ever wanted. I believe there are different levels people come into this world from. Some are stuck in kindergarten and some have Masters Degrees from the start as far as understanding and being human goes.

When I read some of the posts, the absolute refusal of people to accept the facts is earth shattering, beyond my comprehension. I just quit talking to them or listening to them.

Yadja, it's good to know there are other people as crazy as I. Regarding quantum physics, Einstien thought it was a screwball phylosophy. Then again he was from another world.

My paternal grandmother would on occasion go into trances and speak in unintellgable languages, I was a small boy of 9/10 years old back in the 60's and it would scare the heck out me. Dad would tell us that she would "see" future events.

Served in Shield/Storm and this war, Army nurse, welcome doc. Your slogan hits home, I remember the seasoned vets telling me there is no glory in war only gorey. Isn't that the truth.

You were Blessed to have such a powerful Grandmother. Have you any of her talents? I must be careful with meditation because I can go into a trance and it takes awhile to come out and I am stuck betwixt worlds.

Experimented a little too much. There is a Dark Side and it is very busy.

I have Einstein on my bookshelf from one end to another, loved him, his sense of humor etc. I think if he were alive today he would have changed his tune. However String Theory, Big Bang and Quantum Gravity theories I do not know. They leave me a little cold.

He is in a pond, the water rises and he sees a tree limb with a bird on it, never knew it was there, then the water lowers and he hits bottom and sees dead fish etc. Etc.Etc. Never knew it was there.

Some of us get to see the tree, bird and all, some never see anything at all.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
