Sometimes people leave rude comments just to try to get to you. I've had a couple, some I left, one I deleted because it was just plain nasty. It really is up to you whether you want to leave it there.
I don't get why people feel the need to do that. They should go over to YAHOO Answers and hang out there. I have not had a nasty comment yet, but if I did, I would likely delete it because every time I saw it, it would really upset me.
I try really hard to avoid negativity here at Hubpages.
I've had a few. A few of my hubs deal with the lies of a scam. A few defenders of the scam come and leave nasty comments.
I leave them and make fun of them, dissecting their answers and point out how dumb they are.
Yes and yes...the only time I delete a nasty comment is if it contains crude or graphic language that I do not wish to subject my readers to. Otherwise, I view a nasty comment as an opportunity to demonstrate the kind of person I am to people who read and really do care about the content -- I answer as politely as possible, and concede that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I have a comment someone left on my negative review of a truly awful book, and from the vitriolic language in that comment I suspect I may have met the author :P.
Not yet, although I feel that it is inevitable. I get email notifications when someone leaves a comment on one of my hubs. I'm always a bit nervous when I see one of those emails come in...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
