This weekend I added a Gypsy Pepper to the garden family, so I was sitting here on Google this morning seeing what I could learn about this new green child of mine.In the process, I came across this article: doityourself.com/stry/fertilizeepsomsalts -- Fertilize with Epsom Salts. Some of the issues it describes are issues in my container garden - I know that the tomatoes, especially, get magnesium-hungry as the season progresses. I plan on trying this.
Have any of you ever used Epsom salts in the garden? How did it work out for you if you did? Asked by laureth 43 months ago Similar questions: Epsom Salts garden work Home > Patio, Lawn & Garden.

Very successfully - on geraniums! Yes, Epson Salts has a goodly amount of magnesium in it in a soluble form. It has been very effective for me.My geraniums, and pelegoniums, as well as other plants (both in pots and in the earth) that have gone yellow and 'weedy', really appreciate a good dose of salts!
I have not used it as a general fertilizer - that is an interesting idea that I shall bear in mind. Note, I used to live in a heavy clay soil region in Oxford, UK. I now live on sand in south-west France - the only things that grow here without help are pine trees, gorse, broom, brambles and bracken!

I use it on my roses Back in 10-10, I read an article in the SF Chronicle by Rayford Reddell about a "diet" for roses which involved changing the feeding of roses thorugh the year. It said that the epsom salts activates plant enzymes essential to the growth process. I do not know or understand the chemistry involved but I do know the roses like it!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
