I hate to rain on your parade, but that's not actually a limerick - limericks have a strict five-line formula, thus: Good shot, and I do hate saying this, but you've not written a limerick. There's a strict format for a limerick, for example: There was a young lady from Hyde, Who ate a green apple and died. While her lover lamented The apple fermented, And made cider inside her inside.(The internal rhyming in this example isn't compulsory; it's just the first clean one that came to mind).

The format has been around for a long time - for example the nursery rhyme '..' - but it was Edward Lear, the nonsense poet of Owl and Pussycat fame, who seems to have popularised them. Most limericks start with 'There was a person from X' although that's not compulsory, and many of them are more or less scatological and so can't be quoted here. My favourite (polite) one only works if the listeners are used to the regular format, so: There was a young man of St.Bees, Who was stung on the arm by a wasp.

When asked 'Did it hurt? ' He said 'Yes it did; I'm so glad it wasn't a hornet. ' Now, what on earth rhymes with Askville?

Here are a couple from me. There once was a place on the net, Where answers you could always get, But once you got there, You were in Askville’s snare, And I haven’t escaped from there yet! OR In Askville there is a great King, Whose color is primarily green.

But he’s full of crap, And his likes again won’t be seen. Sources: just me .

I'll try it. There once was an Askville lass, Whose answers none could surprass. When asked her secret to tell, She wrote, "I carefully spell, Research my work and never post sass."

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
